Reason For This Journey
For use as a floating hotel during the FIFA World Cup 2022, MSC World Europa arrived in Doha, Qatar, today. MSC Poesia will arrive in Qatar very soon. Now MSC Poesia’s current location is in the Arabian Sea.
Qatar and MSC signed an agreement in November 2019 for these two cruise ships to serve as accommodation vessels for fans attending the FIFA World Cup. During the World Cup in 2022, these two ships will stay in Doha port.
Come Back Home
After completing the FIFA World Cup, MSC Poesia will start her journey again from her home port of Genoa on December 31, 2022. But MSC World Europa will stay in the Arab Sea until March 27, 2023.
About MSC World Europa
The
World Europa is the biggest ship ever to run on LNG and the first one built by
MSC. The World Class is an offshoot of the Meraviglia Class, although it is
heavier and longer. A number of the new attractions that are included on board
are inspired by competitor Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class.
