Carnival Celebration's Official Naming Ceremony

Carnival Celebration's Official Naming Ceremony

After a 14-day journey, Carnival celebration reached her new home port Miami yesterday for her inaugural season sailing from the world’s biggest cruise port.

The all-new Carnival Celebration held an incredible naming ceremony yesterday and departed on its inaugural cruise shortly thereafter. The ceremony was held in Miami and was live-streamed on Carnival's social media channels. The celebration featured the classic Carnival Cruise Line jingle and a tribute to former crew members and company ships.

Carnival Celebration will begin her inaugural Caribbean season from Miami on November 21 with a six-night eastern Caribbean cruise to Grand Turk, Turks, and Caicos; Amber Cove, Dominican Republic; and Nassau, Bahamas.

The ship is a tribute to Carnival Cruise Line's 50th anniversary, which included a year of interesting activities, special events, new merchandise, and so much more.

The Carnival Cruise Line's Celebration is the second LNG-powered ship in the company's fleet and is part of the Excellence Class. The last Excellence Class ship, Carnival Jubilee, will be delivered in 2023. She is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard and is expected to be floated next year.
